Online Registration: Kindergarten & Preschool

Documentation needed for registration: Proof of Residency, Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, and Physical Exam Records can be uploaded during the registration process (preferred method), if they are not they will need to be dropped off at the SAU in person.  Please scroll to the bottom of this page to review what documents are needed for the registration process.

If you answered Yes, to the question above please click Alma Start  to create an account.

Create an Alma Start Account with the email address you will be using to communicate with school.
Create a new student profile:  Here your will be creating your first new student.
New Student Registration 
      Have a child(ren) already in the Laconia School District?   
If you answered Yes, to the question above please click on the Alma below that you use to access your currently enrolled student's account.

  1. Log into your Alma Account.
  2. ​​Once in Alma, access ALMA Start,  found in upper right hand corner

Add a new student to your existing account: Your existing students are located in the upper left hand corner.
The following directions are now the same regardless of whether you logged in via Alma Start or if you logged in through an existing Alma Account.
  • Fill out all student information. DO NOT use auto complete when filling out these forms.  
  • As you type in the student's address the system will begin to validate your student's address.
  • Click: Confirm Validated Address.
  • Click:  Add Student
  • On next screen click:  Save Student
  • On the next screen take a moment to read more about Laconia's Attendance Zones & ............  take in to consideration when placments are made outside of these attendance zones.
  • To begin the registration click Begin New Process in upper right corner,

     Select a process:
  • Select the School you are registering for
  • The School Year you are registering for.
  • and the grade level your student will be in.
  • Click: Select
Active Process
  • Click complete the following forms & tasks.
  • On the next screen click 2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration.
  • At this point you can click SAVE to exit the registration process & return to it when you have time.
  • To reopen a registration process you have started keep in mind that if you:
    • are NEW to the distict you will go to Alma Start at sau30.almstart.com to reopen your registration process. 
    • and if you are a family that ALREADY has an Alma account you will access your saved registration process by logging into your existing Alma account.
  • To complete the procoess don't forget to click SUBMIT
  • Are you sure you want to submit click Yes, Submit
District Forms
  • Click on District Forms
  • Please complete the Health Form, the Media Release Form and the Walking Field Trip Form.
The following documentation will be needed to register.  Documentation for Proof of Residency, Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, and Physical Exam Re can be uploaded on the registration form. 
  • Proof of Residency - Proof of Residency is only needed for families new to the District.  If you have a child(ren) that is/are already enrolled in the District you will not need to supply Proof of Residency.
    • ​ Utility Bill (gas, electric, water), or a ...
    • Rental/Lease agreement/mortgage statement, or a ...
    • Tax bill
    • All documents must be current and have the Parent /Legal guardian's name on it (a driver's license or cell phone bills will not be accepted as proof),  
    • Copies of drivers liscenses or cell phone statements are not acceptable proofs of residency.
  • Birth Certificate - Official Copy (not a hospital copy).
  • Immunizations Records - 
  • Physical Exam - This will need to be an up-to-date exam (within the last year). Students cannot participate in the summer program or begin school in Laconia Schools if these records are not on file.
